Potter, William D. Jr., age 90, of Royal Oak, died January 5, 2013.
Mr. Potter graduated from Pershing High School in Detroit. He served with the United States Marine Corps as a Paramarine during World War II. He was a member and Past Commander of the American Legion Post 253 in Royal Oak. He worked at the Fisher Building and then as a buyer at the Detroit Athletic Club retiring in May of 1987. Beloved husband of the late Evelyn L. Loving father of Lee Potter and Karen Potter White. Proud grandfather of Bill Dawn LaComb, David Elizabeth White and Jennifer White. Great grandfather of Devon, Mitchell, Megan, Potter, Becca and Jessica. Private services to be held at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W 11 Mile Rd. 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. Memorials to Wounded Warrior Project appreciated.
