William "Bill" Orosz, a long-time local Realtor and businessman, died on April 15th, 2012, at the age of 95 at Lourdes Nursing Home in Waterford, Michigan. Bill is survived by his wife of 75 years, Antoinette Tooney and his three children, Janice DeNio Walter, Catherine Risley Clark and William Orosz Jr. Jody, his five grandsons, Brian and David Risley Rebecca and Stephen Helen, Andrew Sonni and Matthew Kathleen Orosz, and his great grandchild, William Thomas Orosz, son of Matthew and Kathleen Orosz. Also remembered at this time is his deceased grandson, Michael Noonan, son of Janice DeNio. Bill was also predeceased by his only sister, Elizabeth Marovich. Bill was born and raised by his parents, Ilona and Steve, in a small coal mining town in Illinois during the great depression. He migrated to Detroit for work in 1933 and made a living at a variety of factory jobs while going to school to learn accounting. He later worked at Ford Motor Company as an accountant but left to pursue his passion to own his own business, Oros Real Estate. He was a past president of the North Woodward Board of Realtors, a lifelong member of the Royal Oak Lions Club, and participated and supported many other civic and professional organizations. Bill was an avid cigar smoker, card player, story teller, golfer, deer hunter and great friend. His grave marker reads, "Blessed By A Wonderful Family, Relatives & Friends -- Smile". Funeral service Wednesday 11 a.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W. 11 Mile Road 4 blocks E. of Woodward, Royal Oak.
