Graveside services for William F. Nolan, 92, will be held at a later date at the Fairburn Cemetery, Fairburn, South Dakota.
Mr. Nolan died unexpectedly Saturday, June 27th at the Mondell Heights Senior Living Center in Newcastle, Wyoming.
Bill was born June 17, 1917 at Rapid City, South Dakota the son of Paul and Maude Bell Nolan.
During World War II he served in the U. S. Army.
He was employed as an area manager at the Newcastle WY telephone office, working for Mountain Bell Telephone Company.
He was a member of the Masons and the Oddfellows lodges and had served as Wagonmaster for several wagon train re-enactments.
Surviving him are his daughter Paulette Thompson and her husband Tim of Newcastle. Grandsons Chris Hamilton Lisa of Greeley, CO; Todd Thompson Anca of New York; Justin Hamilton Krishna of Powell, WY and Trevor Thompson Nicole of Olympia, WA. Also surviving are great grandchildren Chance Hamilton of Rapid City; Mikayla and Savannah Hamilton of Greeley; Shelby and Jacob Hamilton of Powell. Step Children Joyce Strain, Rapid City; Wayne Cassity, Morrill, NE; and Jerry Cassity, Wichita Falls; TX, 8 step grandchildren and 14 step great grandchildren
