He was active in many community organizations including Junior Achievements, Common Ground Crisis Center and the Birmingham Central Kiwanis. Beloved husband of Elizabeth Bognar. Loving father of Karen Weldon Schwartz, William E. Judy and David J. Lynn. Proud grandfather of Laura Matt Custance, Bill Kelly, Brandon and Erica. Great grandfather of Andrew Custance. Dear brother of the late Hilda Smith, Rita, Leo and Phillip Hinch.
