William "Bill" C.Alward, 65, of Sterling Heights, passed away on September 5, 2013 in Shelby Township, Michigan. He was born on December 3, 1947 in Pontiac, Michigan to Marvin and Bernice Alward. He attended school at Pontiac Central High School for 12 years, earned his Associates Degree from Michigan Tech, his Bachelor's Degree from Wayne State University and eventually earned his Master's Degree from Central Michigan University in Electrical Engineering. William worked as an Engineer for Detroit Edison Electric Company for many years and even through a change of names to DTE as we know it now. On June 19, 1970, he married Pamela Scott at the Grace Lutheran Church. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Utica, Michigan. He enjoyed golfing, traveling, and bowling. He also enjoyed the delight of a delicious milkshake or chomping on some popcorn. Bill was a car enthusiast who truly loved listening to Classic Rock & Roll. William is survived by his loving wife Pam. Dear father of Matt, Diane Michael Banks, and Mark Erin. Dear grandfather of Aiden and Emery Banks. Bill is also survived by many four-legged grand dogs. Memorial visitation will be at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, Utica, Michigan on Sunday, September 8, 2013 from 3-7 PM. Memorial service Monday, September 9, 2013, 11:00 am at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 45160 Van Dyke Avenue, Utica, Michigan, with Pastor Shawn Fenske officiating. Memorials are suggested to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation or Trinity Lutheran Church.
