Wallace Foster

Wallace Foster, age 97, of Royal Oak, died Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. He was born May 17, 1911 in Grand Traverse County. Mr. Foster lived in Royal Oak since 1924. He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Royal Oak and was active in Boy Scouts as a leader. His survivors include his son, Neal Lee Foster of Florida; his grandson, Neal Lee Foster, Jr.; 16 nieces and nephews; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Bigham Foster; his brothers, Earl, Frank, Orville and Dan Foster; and his sister, Lucille Filip.
