Vivian Lozen

Vivian I. Lozen, age 95, a 5-year resident of West Bloomfield, formerly of Ferndale, died March 21, 2010 at her home. She was born March 21, 1915 in Cathro, MI. Mrs. Lozen formerly taught at Jack & Jill Nursery School in Royal Oak. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Ferndale and of St. Thomas Presbyterian Church in Shelby Township. She spent her winters in Zephyrhills, FL and summers in Alpena, MI. She is survived by her children, Donna Maher and Donald C. Jane Lozen; son-in-law, Art Hill; brother, Virgil Kingsbury; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lozen; daughter, Alice Hill; son-in-law, Phillip Maher; and one grandchild. The visitation will be Friday 2-8 p.m. and service Saturday 11 a.m. at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak, with the Rev. James Porter officiating. The burial will take place at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Bolton, MI.
