WALKER, Virginia L. "Ginny" nee Madaus, age 87, of Macomb, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2012. Dearly Loved Ginny, will be greatly missed by her husband, Ted, their children: Doreen Frank, Geryl Ann "Gere", Teddy, Terry Lauren, grandchildren: Samantha and Terry Jr. and her brother Jim Nancy Madaus. Ginny was a hairdresser and worked 25 years out of her home. She assisted Wm. Sullivan Funeral Home whenever they called and needed her help. She spent her retirement sewing, crocheting afghans, and had a passion making sweaters for her family and friends by hand or using her knitting machine. She enjoyed making hats, scarves, and mittens for family, as well as charity events. Other interests included playing tennis, bowling, golfing, tap dancing, and playing euchre whenever she had a the chance. She married Ted on February 28, 1959, in Louisville, KY. She and Ted bowled for 30 years on a mixed league at Colonial Lanes in Utica. Golfing was one of her favorite sports. Ginny golfed on a couple of leagues and shared many golf games with her husband Ted. She is preceded in death by her brother, Russell Florence Madaus and sister, Lucille Roy Wade. Ginny had several nieces and nephews. Her family and friends will remember her smiles, laughter, and her kind and giving ways. God Bless you, Ginny. You will be in our hearts and memories forever. Visitation will be Wednesday 4:00pm-9:00pm and Thursday 1:00pm-9:00pm. Her funeral service is Friday at 11:00am at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road 3 blks east of VanDyke Utica.
