MIELKE, Virginia B. nee VanMaele. Age 87, died Tuesday, July 21, 2009 in Shelby Township, Michigan. Beloved wife of the late Ernest P. Mielke. Loving mother of Sheryl J. Kawala. Proud grandmother of Nicholas, Christopher, and Stephanie Kawala. Great Grandmother of Emma Kawala. Preceeded in death by: son-in-law James Kawala, brother Norman VanMaele, and sister-in-law Rosemary VanMaele. Mrs. Mielke was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Utica and a member for over 50 years at the V.F.W. Village Stinson Auxiliary #9021. Visitation at the Wm Sullivan & Son Funeral Home 8459 Hall Road 3 Blks E. of Van DykeUtica on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a VFW Service at 7:30 and a Rosary/Scripture Service at 8:00 PM. Saturday, she will lie in state at 9:30 a.m. at until time of 10:00 a.m. Mass at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 44633 Utica Road, Utica, MI, with Father Philip Ching officiating.
