Virginia Herron

Virginia G. Herron, age 92, a Royal Oak resident since 1920, died Sunday, July 27, 2008 at her home. She was born October 2, 1915 in Detroit. Mrs. Herron was a charter member of the Royal Oak Artists Association. She was a devoted member of the National Shrine of the Little Flower and St. MaryÆs Catholic Church, both in Royal Oak. Her survivors include her children, Charles Herron of Detroit, Catherine Herron of Rochester Hills, Theresa Herron and Marilyn Edward Duffy of Royal Oak; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Herron, on February 25, 1999. The couple wed in 1945 in Royal Oak; and her brother, Donald Siegel, is also deceased.
