Virgil L. Scott, age 93, of Troy, died July 28, 2012.
Beloved husband for more than 35 years of the late Carol. Dear father of Bill Lissa, Bob, and Sally Ted Samples. Proud grandfather of Kim, Lissa Villeneuve, Lillian James Scull, and Heather Mike Weber. Great grandfather of Zach, Avian, Max, and Erin. Mr. Scott was a World War II veteran who served in General Patton's 3rd Army. He received the Bronze Star, Medal of Valor, and Purple Heart. Mr. Scott served as a police officer for the City of Royal Oak and retired as the Chief of Police. Memorial visitation Thursday 5-8 p.m. and Friday 10 a.m. until the time of the memorial service 12 noon at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W. 11 Mile Rd. 4 blocks E. of Woodward, Royal Oak.
