She completed her BA in education at Siena Heights University after which she taught in the metropolitan Detroit area. She was an extremely talented seamstress and artist taking great interest in detail. Victoria had great empathy and love for the disadvantaged, always having a ready smile and words to uplift and encourage. After leaving the sisterhood, she continued to teach at various Catholic schools until her rheumatoid arthritis became so debilitating that she had to retire. She married Mark Spreitzer in 1978 and was a loving and devoted wife, daughter, aunt, sister and friend. She faced the pain and struggles of her illness with great courage. The highlights of her life were her annual trips to Eagle Harbor in the Upper Peninsula, and also her beloved pets, Chester and Oliver. She always said, "When I do go, it won't be because I haven't done everything possible to keep myself going." She was truly an inspiration to all who knew and loved her. Victoria was an active member of the Right to Life organization, and a lifelong dedicated member of the Catholic church, of which she was very proud. She truly knew the meaning of life and celebrated each day.
