Valta Welther

Valta L. Welther, age 85, an Oak Park resident for more than 65 years, died Wednesday, December 3, 2008, at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. She was born November 24, 1923, in Sebewaing, MI. Mrs. Welther was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Royal Oak. She enjoyed sewing and antique collecting. She is survived by her son, Bruce A. Susan Welther of Pleasant Ridge; sister, Edna Schultz of Rochester; grandchildren, Melissa Scott Rutledge and Michael Welther; and great grandchildren, Benjamin Rutledge, Lauren Rutledge and Caroline Rutledge. A private burial service will be held at Glen Eden Cemetery in Livonia, with the Rev. Jeremy Schultz officiating.
