VALDA MAE SHANTRY, age 85, of Shelby Twp. passed away February 8, 2011. She was born February 19, 1925 in Dresden, TN. Beloved wife of Robert E. Shantry and the late Robert H. Scheuer. Dear mother of Ken Marcia Scheuer, David Tara Scheuer, Robert Lynn Shantry, Becky Shantry, Tim Terri Shantry. She had a special relationship with her niece Debby whom she helped raise after her sister Jean passed away. Loving grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Wilma Scott, Bill Turbeville and John Turbeville. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. She cherished her role as wife, mother and grandmother. Funeral Services 10:00 AM Saturday at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Rd. 3 blks. E. of Van Dyke, Utica. Visitation 4:00 - 8:00 PM Thursday and 2:00 - 8:00 PM Friday.
