Tyner Mayer

MAYER, Tyner Hildreth went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 15, 2007, at age 80. Tyner was the beloved husband of his high school sweetheart, Marvel Ann, for over 60 years. A loving family man, Tyner was the dear father of Timothy A. Deborah, D.D.S., the late Terry, and Deborah Joseph Lambourn and the late Robert Plumm. Son of the late Rev. Tyner and Pearl. Brother of the late William, Jack, and Eugene. Grandfather of Nicole Norman Yatooma, Timothy Jr. Melanie, Lyndsey, Kara, and Christian Plumm. Great grandfather of Olivia and Gabriella Yatooma and Isabella Barker-Mayer. Brother-in-law of Arthur and Janet Pierson. A U.S. Army Veteran, Tyner was the founder and owner of Tyner Mayer Dental Laboratory, board member of the Oakland Chapter of Full Gospel Businessmen, and proud member, elder and Sunday school teacher at Oakland Christian Church. TynerÆs love for pitching fast pitch softball continued for 64 years. He took his team to the Livonia Fast Pitch championship game at the age of 78, having won almost 1,200 games while striking out 11,750 batters.
