Theodore Ashburn

Theodore R. Ashburn, 81, of Royal Oak since 1957, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, at William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. He was born June 9, 1926, in Detroit. Mr. Ashburn was a resident of Royal Oak Manor. He was a retired independent truck driver and a World War II Navy veteran who served in the Pacific Theater. He also was a member of the Frank Wendland American Legion. Mr. Ashburn is is survived by his wife, Marvel, whom he married Aug. 2, 1947, in Detroit; children, Ron Mary Ashburn of Las Vegas, NV, Gary Maribeth Ashburn of Richmond, MI, Lynn Demeter of Shelby, OH, Sandy Schuman of Warren, MI, Don Ashburn of Sterling Heights, MI, Dave Pam Ashburn of Hazel Park, MI, Jerry Angie Ashburn of Oakland Township, MI, Nancy Ashburn Tom Williams of Oakland Township, MI, Carol Woody Woodrich of Royal Oak, MI, Donna Ashburn of Berkley, MI, Tim Ashburn of Royal Oak, MI, Tom Dawn Ashburn of Berkley, MI; a brother, Richard Ashburn of Dearborn, MI; 26 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Kenny Ashburn in 2005.
