Daughter of Peter Drewniak and Josephine Oska, born October 21 1921, she passed away Friday, June 6, 2014 at the age of 92. Born in Depew NY, she was a life-long resident of the greater Detroit Area. She graduated from Cass Technical High School in 1939 and went on to Cosmetology School and opened her own salon. She started working at Parke-Davis after raising her children and retired in 1979. She was an avid artist, having won ribbons with her paintings and porcelain art at the State Fair and other venues. She was a dedicated member of St. John Vianny Catholic Church. She married her beloved husband, Anthony Sobolewski, who preceded her in death in 1981. Surviving are her daughter, Anita Sobolewski Zinzi and husband Louis, her son Vincent and wife Karen and grandchildren, Matthew and Veronica. Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 10th 3-9pm at Wm Sullivan & Sons Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Rd. Utica, MI. On Tuesday, June 10th at 7pm, a scripture service will be held at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be held at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 54045 Schoenherr Rd., Shelby Township MI, on June 11th beginning at 9:30am. Following the Service, an Apostolate luncheon will be served.
She will be laid to rest at Christian Memorial Cemetery.
