Thelma Ortez

Thelma Louise Ortez, 78 years of age, of Shelby Township. Entered into Eternal Life on June 22, 2005. She was born in Huntington, Tennessee on March 25, 1927. She is the daughter of the late Hulbert and Vettie Thomason who moved to Michigan when she was seven years old. She married Arthur Gould in January of 1948. She then married Joseph C. Ortez in 1950 in Bowling Green, Ohio. Surviving children: Wesley Karen Gould of Wyandotte, Timothy Georgine Ortez of Clarkston, Danny Sue Ortez of Shelby Township, Terri Ortez Kramer of Shelby Township, and a "honorary son" Stuart D. Neal. Ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. A sister Diane Kenny Sheatzley of Harrison, Michigan; and several nieces and nephews. A best friend of Theresa Poirer. Thelma was proceeded in death by her husband Joseph C. Ortez, a son Joseph L. Ortez, daughter Leesa C. Ortez, a sister Mabel L. Thomason, and a brother James Thomason. Services will be held at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road, 3 blocks east of VanDyke Utica. Funeral service is Sunday, June 26th at 1:00 pm. The Reverend Diane L. Stover presiding. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00pm-9:00pm and Saturday Noon - 9:00pm. Interment will be at Christian Memorial Cultural Center, Rochester Hills. Memorials suggested to: Beaumont Hospice Fund, Wm.
