Susan Conway

Conway, Susan Claire, 71, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at St. John's Hospital Macomb after a long struggle with lung cancer. She was born on June 15, 1942 in Detroit to Casmir and Clara Greshaw. Sue grew up in Detroit and graduated from the High School of Commerce in 1960. She worked for Bell Telephone and took time off to be a stay at home mom. Sue taught piano privately for several years, and retired from Jack and Jill Nursery School after 26 years as their music instructor. Sue married Frederic John Conway in September 1962. They were happily married for 51 years. She is survived by her spouse Frederic, son Thomas Shelly, daughter Carolyn Jeremy, and her two grandsons Seamus and Lachlan. Visitation will be at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W. 11 Mile Road, Royal Oak, MI from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, September 22, 2013, with a Wake Service at 4 p.m. Susan will be in state at St. Rene Goupil Catholic Church, 35955 Ryan Road, Sterling Heights, MI at 9 a.m. Monday, September 23, 2013 until the time of Mass at 9:30 a.m. The burial will immediately follow at White Chapel Cemetery, 621 W.
