Steve A. Schloff, age 61, of Gladwin, MI, formerly of Wixom, MI, passed away on Friday, February 4, 2011 at his residence. He was born February 11, 1949 in Detroit, the son of Donald and Frances England Schloff. Steve was a Vietnam Veteran of the United States Army Military Police in which he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal with 4 Bronze Service Stars; Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal; Army Commendation Medal with 1 Oak Leaf Custer; Bronze Star Medal; and Sharpshooter. On July 1, 2005 he married Toni Quinn in Farmington Hills. He was an avid football fan and enjoyed all types of music, especially early Rock and Roll and 50's music. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Schloff. He is survived by his wife, Toni Quinn of Gladwin; mother, Frances Schloff of Sterling Heights; brothers, James Schloff of East Point and Mark Michelle Schloff of Madison Heights; sister, Barbara Eduardo Arrieta of Middletown, RI; step-children, Allison Jeffory Whitmer of Germantown, MD and Caitlin Ryan Ostby of Muskegon; and step-grandchildren, Quinn Whitmer and Madison Ostby. In accordance with Steve's wishes cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial visitation Saturday 12 noon until the time of memorial service 2 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. Inurnment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.
