Steven Leczel

Steven Julius Leczel, age 85, a resident of Royal Oak, died August 19, 2010 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. He was born May 4, 1925 in Detroit. Mr. Leczel retired from Burroughs Corporation after 35 years. He served in the Michigan National Guard for three years. He loved to bowl, was an avid carpenter and enjoyed gardening. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Marie Krueger Leczel, whom he married July 26, 1947; son, Jeffrey Cheryl Leczel of Rochester Hills; grandchildren, Kimberly McCaslin, Jennifer Fekete, Elizabeth Elliott Pugh, Michael Leczel, Christina Fekete and Kathryn Leczel; and four great grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen and Elizabeth Leczel; and brother, William Leczel. The visitation will be Sunday 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. The service will be Monday 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dr. David Nichols officiating.
