Stephen F. Moudy, 81, died unexpectedly Saturday, January 19th at his Newcastle home. At his request, no services will be held. Cremation has taken place under direction of Worden Funeral Directors of Newcastle.
Stephen was born August 25, 1926 at Union, Oregon the son of Art and Mabel Catherine Godsey Moudy. He was married to Barbara Lee Cass for the past fifty four years. During World War II he enlisted in the U. S. Navy. He had also been employed as a truck driver for Black Thunder Coal Mine South of Gillette.
Survivors include his wife of Newcastle; son Steve Moudy of Baker, Oregon; two daughters, Vicki Mills and Julie Scott, both of Wright, Wyoming; five grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters Lora Essyletyn of Pendleton, Oregon and Fae Hampton of Sisters, Oregon.
