Shirley Bailey

Shirley A. Bailey, age 83, a resident of Royal Oak for 56 years, passed away October 29, 2013 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. She was born September 26, 1930 in Detroit. Shirley volunteered at the U.S.O. during World War II. She also worked for General Motors Cadillac Car Division for several years. Shirley did what a mother does, which is everything! She loved gardening, cooking, knitting and crocheting. Shirley and her husband Richard enjoyed trips to Mackinac Island while staying at the Grand Hotel. Beloved wife of Richard T. Bailey for 57 years; loving mother of Sandra Emil Paci of Troy, MI, Rick Bailey of Royal Oak, MI and Dawn Bailey of Wilson, NC. Dear sister of Roger Anderson. The visitation will be Friday 2-8 p.m. with a 6 p.m. Rosary at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak.
