Sheridan Snell

SNELL, Sheridan S. Age 83. July 16, 2007. Beloved husband of Gaye Howcroft Snell. Loving father of Debra Snell, Kim Mark Parton Snell, Tammy Tom Duszynski and Darcy former husband Russell Vergis. Proud grandfather of Joe and Brian Duszynski and Austin, Hayden and Payton Vergis. Dear brother of Carol Robertson and the late Barton Snell. Mr. Snell was a U.S. Army Sergeant stationed in the Philippines during WWII. He opened Superior Fish in Royal Oak with partner, Gus Engel, from 1948-1980. He was the owner of Graubner & Associates, a food brokerage firm, from 1959-1982 which represented Blue Water Seafood. He was a 50 year member and past president of the Royal Oak Rotary Club and held a perfect attendance record. Also a member of the Shriners and the Royal Oak Masons in the 1960Æs. Mr. Snell spent time vacationing at his summer home in Lexington, MI and owned the A&W Root Beer store during the 1970Æs. In 1986, he opened SnellÆs Self Storage Units on Rochester Road in Troy with his late brother Barton, which is still in operation today. He was also a collector of model toy trucks and cars.
