Sarah Whitlock

Sarah J. Foster Whitlock, age 80, a resident of Huntington Woods, died July 29, 2013 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. She was born September 11, 1932 in Wilkesboro, NC to the late Dewey and Stacey Foster. Mrs. Whitlock was a graduate of Guilford College in North Carolina. She worked as a real estate broker for many years. She was the past President and National Director Emeritus of the Navy League. She also was the past President of the Huntington Woods Woman's Club and Study Club. She was the beloved wife of Roy Whitlock; loving mother of Raymond Whitlock and the late Brenda C. Churchill; proud grandmother of Adrian M. Schoenherr and Kathryn E. Whitlock; and dear sister of Roy Foster, Kat Miller, Ruby Norman, Betty Brown, Vertie Presley, Anne Elledge, the late Randolph Foster and Fair Foster. The visitation will be Friday 3-8 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blocks E of Woodward, Royal Oak. Mrs. Whitlock will lie in state Saturday 10 a.m. until the time of service 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Royal Oak. Interment will take place at Roseland Park Cemetery in Berkley.
