Sarah Hamel

February 22, 1927 — January 13, 2013

Sarah J. Hamel, of Madison Heights, passed away on January 13, 2013. She is survived by her children, Daniel J. Trudy, Gary M., Nancy J. Fretland, Mary L. Larsen, Sr. Ruth A. Hamel, O.P. Dominican Sister of Peace, James O. Karen and Lori A. Hamel. Sarah has 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel J. Sr. A viewing will be held at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Clawson on Thursday, January 17, at 10:00 am followed by Mass at 10:30 am. A luncheon will be provided immediately following at Community of Christ, 3830 Crooks Road in Troy. In lieu of flowers, please follow Sarah's wishes in favor of a donation to Kindred Spirit. This Christian Adult Home is currently providing care to Sarah's daughter, Lori Ann, who is affected by Down Syndrome. Please direct donations to: Kindred Spirit
