Sally Marie Siagkris, age 78, a resident of Macomb, passed away January 3, 2014. She was born July 7, 1935 in Warren to the late John and Rose Olshevsky Muchesky. Sally aka "Yia" worked for Chrysler and retired from Michcon Gas Co. in 1998. She was an inspiration in returning to college as an adult, and was an avid athlete playing tennis, racquetball, skiing and golfing until her 78th year. Her golf team at Sunnybrook came in 1st place this last season! Sally was a breast cancer survivor and will be remembered for her sense of style, her love for her grandchildren, her wit and sense of etiquette. Her motto was, "Never Give Up!" She was one-of-a-kind and will be missed and forever loved by her family and many friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Nick G. Siagkris, on April 6, 1993. She is survived by her best friend and lifetime companion of 40 years, Josephine Phillips; children, Juli Renee Harmon Siagkris-Seymour of Royal Oak, MI and Jon Holly Stocking Siagkris of Los Angeles, CA; and beloved grandchildren, Niko Siagkris-Seymour 19 of Royal Oak, MI and Chicago, IL, Ruby Stocking 23 of Los Angeles, CA and Hannah Stocking-Siagkris 21 of San Raphael, CA. Memorial visitation Sunday 2-8 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road 3 blocks E of Van Dyke, Utica. Memorial Mass Monday 12 noon at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Utica.
