Rose Remer

Rose A. Remer, age 63 of Shelby Twp. passed away January 27, 2012 at her residence. Rose was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church since she was in the 6th grade at Trinity Lutheran School. She began her career as a teacher at Trinity in 1971 where she became the assistant principal in 1987. She was best known at Trinity for organizing the 8th grade trips to Washington DC for many years. Her love for making brownies became a favorite thing among the Trinity students and helped earn her the title of the "Queen of Trinity Lutheran School" She was also very well known for her collection of M&M items and collectibles which she has on display in her classroom as well as an entire room in her home. Mrs. Remer loved her students and they loved her. She is the beloved wife of the late James C. Remer who passed away in Dec. 2003. Dear mother of Trudi Remer and the late Todd Remer who passed away in August 1988. Dear daughter of Arnold and Ruth Kark. Dear sister of Karen John Palmateer. Friends may call at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Rd. 3 blks. E. of Van Dyke Utica from 2:00 - 8:00 pm on Tuesday and Wednesday. Funeral Services Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 45160 Van Dyke, Utica where she will lie in state from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am. Interment Cadillac Memorial Gardens East.
