Rose Marie nee Guysens Madonna age 84, died Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital, Clinton Township, Michigan. She was born November 4, 1929, in Delray, Michigan to the late Ceasar Joseph and Veva nee Douglass Guysens. Ted and Rose Marie met at the Gilead Baptist Church in May of 1950 and were married August 22, 1952. They began the Covenant Baptist Church in October of 1956. She enjoyed working in her garden for which she received the Sterling Heights Beatification award one year. She and Ted loved to take walks and hike to waterfalls. She lead the choir for many years at the Covenant Baptist Church. She taught Ladies' Bible Study for 40 years and was a Sunday School Teacher and VBS teacher most of her life. She was a soloist at her church and she loved to sing through the hymnal with her grandchildren. She spent hours every day without fail, studying her bible and praying for her family, the church and missionaries around the world. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, two months, and 15 days, Pastor Ted Madonna. Dear mother of Reverend Paul Donna Madonna, James Laurie Madonna, and the late Robert "Bob" Madonna. Proud grandmother of Matthew Shanna Madonna, Bryan Erika Madonna, Nathaniel Madonna, Rachel Madonna, and Anna Madonna. Loving great grandmother of: Marlana. Lucas, Shayla, Travis, Samantha, Benjamin, Josiah, and Evelyn. Dear sister of Douglass Linda Guysens. Visitation Wednesday 5:00pm-9:00pm and Thursday 1:00pm-9:00pm at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road 3 blocks east of Van Dyke Avenue Utica. Friday in state at 10:00am until time of service at 11:00am at Covenant Baptist Church, 11455 Canal Road, Sterling Heights, Michigan, with Reverend Paul Madonna officiating.
