Ronnie Lee Houston, 66, longtime resident of Newcastle, Wyoming, passed away in her home February 20, 2025, following a lengthy illness. Ronnie was born March 10, 1958, to Ron and Aline Taylor. Ronnie was raised in California and has four sisters, three daughters, and five grandchildren. Ronnie enjoyed meeting new people and rarely knew a stranger. She loved to travel , and one of her favorite places was Custer State Park. She was a tour bus driver, then came to Newcastle where she was a cook and cashier at Short Stop. Ronnie was forced to retire due to her failing health. Despite her heath conditions, she enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She enjoyed going to Hi-16 for her coffee time, a cup of tea, and her social time, as she would say. Ronnie's other passion included caring for her dogs, Taz and Tigger. Ronnie enjoyed holiday gatherings with her friends and loved a competitive game of UNO. She was a strong and resilient person who accomplished a lot in her life despite difficult circumstances. She never let the difficult times get the best of her, and always did the best with what she had.
Ronnie is survived by three sisters, one daughter, and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, two daughters, and her parents. Ronnie will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
