Ronald H. Fournier, Sr., age 79, of Royal Oak, died December 2, 2009 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. He was born August 18, 1930 in Detroit. Mr. Fournier was a 1948 graduate of Shrine High School. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea. He was a manager at Consumers Power from 1953-1975. He was the president of Small Business Torch Drive Operations, and general manager and president of Kut-Rite Manufacturing in Royal Oak from 1975-1996. Mr. Fournier was the past president of the Ferndale Chamber of Commerce and Ferndale Exchange Club, and the recipient of the Exchange Club Golden Book of Deeds. He was also a Scout Master of the Shrine Boy Scout Troop #1634. He is survived by his sons, Jerome R. Fournier of Royal Oak, Ronald "Rocky" Fournier, Jr. of Royal Oak and Philip Fournier of Lathrup Village; son-in-law, Michael Andrews; siblings, Joseph Fournier of Mesa, AZ and Lois Robinson of Tennessee; mother-in-law, Margaret Neri of Royal Oak; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol N. Fournier, on March 16, 2007; and his daughter, Julie Andrews. The visitation will be Friday 2-9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Rosary at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blocks E of Woodward, Royal Oak. Mr. Fournier will lie in state Saturday 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass 10 a.m. at the National Shrine of the Little Flower in Royal Oak.
