Roger Alan Barker, age 57, of Evendale, OH, formerly of Berkley, Traverse City, Logansport, IN and Merrimack, NH, died Sunday, August 17, 2008 at Hospice of Cincinnati in Blue Ash, OH. He was born April 1, 1951 in Detroit. First and foremost Mr. Barker loved his wife and family, his in-laws and many friends from the Traverse City area. He was vice president of human resources for the Fusite Division of Emerson Electric in Cincinnati for the past 25 years. He was a graduate of the Shrine High School in Royal Oak and Oakland University in Rochester, where he received his bachelor�s degree. Mr. Barker was a member of the Maketewah Country Club in Cincinnati where he enjoyed playing golf. He also enjoyed his home on Cumberland Lake in Kentucky. He is survived by his wife, Gayle P. Barker nee McLaughlin, whom he married January 11, 1974 at the National Shrine of the Little Flower in Royal Oak; his children, Bryan A. Barker and Timothy C. Barker both of Cincinnati; his father, Harvey R. Barker, Sr.; sister, Ellen Bob Grenfell of Canton; and sister-in-law, Marcia Barker of Canton. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Barker and brother, Rob Barker.
