Rodney Lorenz

Memorial service for Rodney Lorenz will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at Four Square Lighthouse Church; Pastor Bohn officiating. Rodney Dean Lorenz, 49, of Newcastle, Wyoming passed away March 09, 2020. He was born September 18, 1970 to Richard and LaRee Lorenz. Not only was Rodney proud to be affiliated with Four Square Lighthouse Church, he was a loving son, father, brother, uncle and he was a friend to many. Rodney was a kindred spirit who enjoyed travelling over to Custer to drive through Custer State Park to view the scenery and wildlife, as well as camping. Rodney loved the color yellow and loved to play videogames any chance he got. Rodney graduated from Highland High School in Albuquerque, NM; and then attended New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology in Socorro, N. M. Rodney is survived by his parents, Richard and LaRee Lorenz of Newcastle, WY; older brother, Richard(Faith) Lorenz of Ridgecrest, CA; son, Daniel Flores of Custer, SD; nephew, Ryan Lorenz of Ridgecrest, CA; niece, Hope Lorenz of Eureka, CA; uncle, Casey(Iris) Dunsmore of San Antonio, TX; aunts, Suzanne Stairs of Chambers, NE; Judith Lorenz of Newcastle, WY; Lou Williams of Fredericksburg, TX; and Sherry Williams of San Felipe, TX; along with many other family and friends. Rodney is preceded in death with grandparents, Reinhard and Ada Lorenz, Kenneth and Amy Dunsmore; and Basil Williams; uncle, Steve Lorenz and uncle, Lee Williams.
