Robert Wold

Robert E. Wold, age 74, of Rochester Hills, formerly a 63-year resident of Royal Oak and Brighton, died August 26, 2009 at his home. He was born January 6, 1935 in Pontiac. Mr. Wold retired from Automatic Systems, Inc. of Brighton after 10 years of service and was a former employee of Johnstone Pump of Troy. He was an avid fan of auto racing and worked as a crew member for his son's team. Mr. Wold was also very interested in wood carving and was a member of the Alfa Romeo Owners Club. He is survived by his wife, June P. Ward Wold, whom he married July 19, 1957 at the First Baptist Church of Royal Oak; children, Joanne Johnson of Royal Oak, Eric Sherri Wold of Lake Orion and Elaine Brian Kipp of Lafayette, IN; grandchildren, Christa Hull, Erik Johnson, Davis Robert Wold, Jacob Kipp and Jordan Kipp; and great granddaughter, Elle Hull. Visitation will be held Friday 2-8 p.m. and the service Saturday 11 a.m. at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak.
