Robert Welk

Robert F. Welk, age 88, a resident of Oak Park for 59 years, died Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. He was born August 8, 1922 in Detroit. Mr. Welk was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. He retired from the Fisher Body Division at the GM Tech Center after 31 years of service as a Sr. Process Engineer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret M. Welk, whom he married June 30, 1951 at St. Gregory Catholic Church in Detroit. He is survived by his children, Gregory Welk of Santa Clara, CA, Cindi Randy Wells of Royal Oak and Cheryl Steve Sprague of Helotes, TX. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
