Robert Porter

Porter, Robert L., age 74, of Royal Oak, passed away on March 24, 2010. Beloved husband of Carole A. Porter, loving father of Deborah James Shillito and Lori William Walsh, and loving grandfather of Bradley and Robert Shillito and Melissa, Kelsey, Brandon, and Ciara Walsh. Dear brother of Winifred Richard Lowery and also survived by nephew Richard Mary Lowery, niece Diane Thomas Evey, and many dear friends. Robert served at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX and returned to Michigan where he was employed at Grand Trunk Western Railroad for 36 years. He was a member in good standing of the Northwood-Ancient Craft 551 Masons of Michigan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family at his cottage in Bloomingdale, MI. Visitation Friday 2-9 p.m. and Saturday 11 a.m. until time of service 1:30 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W. Eleven Mile Road 4 blocks E. of Woodward, Royal Oak.
