Robert S. Morrison, age 94, a lifelong resident of Royal Oak, died July 20, 2009 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. He was born December 16, 1914 in Detroit. Mr. Morrison was an Eagle Scout and a World War II U.S. Navy veteran. He was a 1934 graduate of Royal Oak High School and a 1939 graduate of the Detroit Institute of Technology. He retired from General Motors Corp. in 1974 and was a member of the Fisher Body Retirees Club. Mr. Morrison was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a volunteer at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak for 25 years. He also enjoyed painting landscapes as one of his hobbies. He is survived by his wife, Edna Olive Plumtree Morrison; son, Richard Morrison; grandchildren, Leigh David Martin and R. Scott Samantha Morrison; great granddaughter, Sydney Morrison; and sisters-in-law, Joyce Plumtree King and Arlene Plumtree Harrington. There will be a committal service Saturday 1 p.m. at the Chapel of Flowers at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, with the Rev. John Hice officiating. Arrangements by Wm.
