Bob lived in the Detroit until 1967 when he moved to Utica, Michigan. He worked as a tool and dye maker. In 1991, he moved to DeTour Village. Bob enjoyed visiting with people and regularly attended Senior functions in Raber, Cedarville and DeTour. He enjoyed stamp collecting. He also loved traveling and many times crisscrossed the States from East to West. Bob and Marion drove to Alaska a number of times, spending weeks and sometimes months in their RV on the road. In one of his favorite memories he shut off the car in Newfoundland when a local wanted to 'shoot the breeze' about life in the States. And he loved pizza, coupon clipping for fast food meals and working the odds at Kewadin Casino.
He was a WWII veteran with service in the Navy. The ship Bob was assigned to crossed the Atlantic Ocean many times and was part of the fleet chasing the "Bismark". His ship went through the Suez Canal and he also saw Japan as part of the occupation forces.
