Robert J. Heintz, 84, a 55-year resident of Royal Oak, died March 25, 2008, in Bloomfield Hills. He was born August 1, 1923, in Detroit. Mr. Heintz was a World War II Army veteran. He graduated from Michigan State University in 1948 with a bachelors of science degree. He was the founder and owner of Heintz Potato Chip Company and later the owner of RJH Enterprises in Royal Oak. He was an avid boater, fisherman and hunter. His wife and children were most important to him. Mr. Heintz is survived by his wife, Gloria, whom he wed Feb. 3, 1952, in Freeport, NY; his children, Susan the late Michael McCarthy of Grantsville, UT, Gary Heintz of Salt Lake City, UT, Linda Timothy McCarthy of Roscommon, David Robin Heintz of Warren, Nancy fiancT, Anthony Soik Heintz of Clawson and the late Paul Heintz; 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
