FINN Sr., Robert M. age 61, of Utica, lost his 12 year battle to cancer on October 16, 2011. He was born on May 9, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan. Beloved husband of 40 years to Mary Lou nee Jarvis. Dear father of Valerie Tom Rinke, Brenda Dave Imrick, Rene Rick Battani, and Jennifer Finn. Preceded in death by his son, Robert M. Finn Jr. Loving grandfather of 13. Brother of George Bev Finn and Patricia Orlando. Visitation will be Tuesday 6pm-9pm with a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 7pm and Visitation Wednesday 1-9pm with a Scripture Service at 7pm at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road 3 blks east of Van Dyke Utica. Thursday he will lie in state at 9am until time of funeral mass at 10am at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 44633 Utica Road, Utica. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township. Following that, he was employed as a trucker by Messina Trucking for 12 years before running his family owned embroidery/engraving business. A member of the Knights of Columbus for St. Lawrence and St. Ephrem's and the Cancer Fighter Organization at Cancer Treatment Center of America in Zion, Illinois. He often volunteered his time as a Eucharistic Minister at Henry Ford Hospital. Robert's interests included bowling, baseball, hockey, football, snowmobiling, and conversing. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors, up north in Lewiston, Michigan. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.
