Robert J. Carr, age 90, a resident of Royal Oak since 1948, died January 11, 2011 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. He was born October 5, 1920 in Alpena, MI. Mr. Carr served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the ETO in the Signal Corps as a sergeant. He retired from the Budd Company in 1982. He is survived by his son, Gerald Lee Carr of Royal Oak; brothers, Richard Carr of Ohio and Keith Mac Carr of Wisconsin; granddaughter, Christie Michael Watson; and great granddaughters, Hannah and Makayla Watson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jane Carr, on September 28, 1996; and daughter-in-law, Doris Ann Carr. The visitation will be Monday 11 a.m. until the time of service 5 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. The burial will take place at Cadillac Memorial Gardens in Clinton Township.
