Robert Bleakley

Bleakley, Robert S. age 67, died February 14, 2013. Son of the late Stewart and Isabell Bleakley. Dear brother of Bruce Deb Bleakley. Proud uncle of Kendra. Bob went to elementary school and high school in the New Haven, Michigan school district. He graduated from New Haven High School in 1964 and enrolled that fall at Michigan State UniversityMSU. He graduated with honors from MSU in 1968 with a BA. He helped his parents operate a truck farm in Macomb Township for many years. Bob was a fan of local sports teams, especially the Detroit Tigers and MSU football and basketball. He had a great interest and enthusiasm for traditional/folk music, rock and roll, films, literature, and history. His brother treasures Bob's friendship and mentoring that helped him to learn and appreciate these things and many others. Bob's care, love, and efforts for his parents, brother, and natural world and his country are cherished in the memories of his family and friends. His gentle but steady humor, mind, and heart are greatly missed. Memorial visitation Saturday from 2:00pm until time of Memorial Service at 4:00pm at Wm.
