Rita Steinbrenner

Rita Sue Steinbrenner age 72 passed away February 15, 2013 at her residence. She is the daughter of the late Ted and Lucille Johnson. She is survived by her husband, Jeremiah, her children, Robert Heidi Steinbrenner, Margaret Ronald Weingartz, Sharon Ken Van Buskirk and Katherine Shane Hatswell. Grandmother of Adam, Kaitlyn, Katie, Rachel, Lauren, Jenny, Kara, Timothy, Jessica, Bryan, Sarah, Logan John, Barry, Justin and Kevin. Sister of Sharon James and Harold Betty Johnson. Rita and Jeremiah knew each other in the 6th grade and graduated together. They were winners of the Spelling Bee contest. She retired from K-mart's after working in the Accessories Department for over 15 years. She was a member of the "Coffee Clutchers" Bowling League in Clinton Township and was a resident of Shelby Township since 1964. Everyone will remember her by her "infectious" laughter. Her family said she "loved to laugh". Visitation Monday 3-9 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road 3 blks E. of Van Dyke Utica. Services Tuesday 11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home.
