Richard Kott Sr

KOTT Sr, Richard R. "Dick". age 75, a resident of Shelby Township, Michigan; for the past 43 years. He died Tuesday, July 17, 2007; in Medilodge Nursing Center of Sterling Heights. He was born April 12, 1932; in Raber, Michigan. Mr. Kott was the founding president of Michigan Dressers Motorcycle Club. He also was a member of Iron Workers Local 25. Mr. Kott loved fishing and writing poetry. He was the youngest of ten children, his family said he will be remembered for his great wit. He is survived by his children, Joan Kurt Morehead of White Lake, Michigan; David Kott of Seattle, Washington; Daniel Laurie Kott of Cumberland Falls, Kentucky; and Richard R. Kott II of Shelby Township, Michigan; sisters: Helen Duke, Dorene D'Aigle, and Joyce Thomas; and grandchildren: Jessica, Laura, Aaron, Jenna, and Renee. He was predeceased by his wife, Jean she died November 1, 1994, and his parents Peter J. and Anna Marie nee Persenski Kott. He also will be missed by his best friend, dog, and companion; Killer. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 20, 2007; at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road, Utica, Michigan. Burial will be in Christian Memorial Cultural Center, Rochester Hills, Michigan. Friends may visit from 2:00pm-9:00pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
