Richard Eutsler

November 26, 1930 — April 14, 2008

Graveside services for Richard J. Eutsler, 77, will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, April 17th at Upton WY Greenwood Cemetery with Bert Sutherland officiating. Burial will follow services at Greenwood Cemetery. The family asks that memorial contributions be given to the Osage Ambulance Service in his memory. Worden Funeral Directors of Newcastle are in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Eutsler died unexpectedly Monday, April 14th at his home in Osage, Wyoming.

Richard was born November 26, 1930 on the family homestead on Little Lightning Creek North of Manville, Wyoming the son of Joe and Hazel Meeker Eutsler. He served in the United States Army from September 1950 to October 1952, serving in Korea. On April 25, 1953 at Rapid City, South Dakota he married Maxine Cole of Lusk, Wyoming. The couple had four children. Dick worked in the oil field in some capacity or another all of his life, most of that in Weston County, Wyoming.

He was an avid bowler and hunter. He served on the Osage Sewer Board, Water Board, and Dump board until his death. He was a member of the Osage volunteer Fire Department until health problems prohibited that.

Preceding him in death was a daughter, Sherry Thomas, brothers; Charles Eutsler, Tom Eutsler; and Sisters Orabelle Martin, Bertha Sipes, Pat Trout and Mary Deuel.

Survivors include his wife Maxine; daughters Judy Lashmett of Osage and Sally Singleton of Gillette, and son Joe Eutsler of Gillette; brothers Jim Eutsler of Osage, Ted Eutsler of Buffalo, WY and Bob Eutsler of Simi Valley, California; sisters Billie Arnold of Torrington, WY and Betty Truman of Portland, Oregon' nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
