Reciting of The Rosary for Raymond L. Stubbs, 59, will be Monday, April 10th at 6:00 pm at Worden Chapel. A short closed casket visitation will be held following Rosary until 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 11th at 10:30 am at Worden Chapel with Rev. Randy Oswald and Deacon Ken Pitlick officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Mr. Stubbs died of injuries received in an auto accident 3 miles West of Custer, South Dakota on U.S. Highway 16.
Raymond was born May 15, 1946 at Tempe, Arizona the son of Frances and Lorene Artherholt Stubbs. He was raised in Tempe, graduating from high school in Phoenix, Arizona. He also attended Phoenix College where he earned an Associate?s Degree. He was employed as a scientific and theatrical glass blower, working in California, Arizona, and Missouri prior to moving to Newcastle, Wyoming. In 1984 he married Hope V. Yarbrough at St. Richard?s Parish in Creve Coeur, MO..
Mr. Stubbs was a loving and kind man. He took care of his wife for many years. There was never a time that anyone would ask him for something that he would give to them if he could. He loved to laugh and make others laugh.
Surviving him is his wife of Newcastle, two brothers, Bill Stubbs of Newcastle, WY and Stanley Stubbs of Skull Valley, Arizona. Also surviving are three sisters, Donna Bell of Newcastle, WY, Mary Kerns of Cottonwood, AZ, and Frances Leyva of Lake Montezuma, AZ.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
