Raymond Duffy

Raymond L. Duffy, age 87, a 56-year resident of Royal Oak, died Sunday, January 4, 2009, at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. He was born August 8, 1921, in Pontiac. Mr. Duffy was a retired supervisor from Ford Motor Co. He was a longtime member of the Ford Golf League. He was a major benefactor of the Berkley Christmas parade. He was also a member of the board at the Evangelical Home. He is survived by his brothers, Cyril Duffy of Birmingham and Vern Duffy of Venice, FL; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothea Duffy, in 2002. Visitation will be Wednesday 1-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. with funeral Thursday 11 a.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W 11 Mile Rd. 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. The Rev. Ralph Brown will officiate. Burial will take place at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy.
