Peter W. J. Paxton, age 69, a 15-year resident of Marine City, formerly of Shelby Township, died May 25, 2009 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak. He was born April 13, 1940 in Luton, Bedfordshire, England. Mr. Paxton was the owner and operator of Sherwood Prototype Inc. located in Highland Park from 1986 until present. He was a U.S. Army veteran, an entrepreneur, amateur photographer, auto buff, boater and collector. He is survived by his children, Leslie Morgan Stidwill of South Lyon, Eric Peter Paxton of Troy, Elizabeth Anne Brian Laux of Raleigh, NC, Lance Joseph Peter Bertha Paxton of Shelby Township and Royce Devon Peter Paxton of Shelby Township; siblings, Eileen Phil Cohen of Troy, Shirley Gordon Tucker of Belle River, Ontario, Canada and Margaret Ken Wakefield of Indian River, MI; and grandchildren, Austen Andrew Peter Paxton, Logan Von Paxton, Alison Rae Stidwell, Mason James Stidwell, Natalie Cora Laux, Katelyn Elizabeth Laux, Lauren Marie Laux, Gracen Violet Laux, Alexandria Marie Paxton and Andrea Zoe Paxton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Violet Paxton; and sister, Brenda Wiper.
