Patricia Powell

Patricia Roberts Powell, age 73, a longtime resident of Royal Oak, died March 29, 2011 at her home. She was born September 2, 1937 in Royal Oak, daughter of the late Isabel and Earl Roberts; and predeceased by her brother, Earl "Sonny" Roberts. Mrs. Powell was a 1955 graduate of Royal Oak High School. She retired from Royal Oak Public Schools. Loving mother of Wendy Steven Tamm, William Powell and Shari Michael Thorpe; and grandchildren, Erin Tamm, Kelly Tamm, Laura Powell and Braeden Thorpe. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Powell, on March 16, 1987; the couple married November 3, 1956 in Royal Oak. She was also predeceased by her longtime companion, Hector DeBrabant, on July 5, 2010. The visitation will be Thursday 1-8 p.m. and service Friday 10 a.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W Eleven Mile Road 4 blks. E of Woodward, Royal Oak. The burial will be at White Chapel Memorial Cemetery in Troy.
