Nora Clissold

Clissold, Nora ?Mary? nee Fournier, age 89 of Farwell, MI, formerly of Royal Oak, died April 30, 2011. She was born in New Brunswick, Canada to Marcel and Lucy Fournier. She lived most of her life in Royal Oak. She is a 1940 graduate of St. Mary?s High School and she graduated from Oakland Community College in 1975. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Eileen Cyr and brothers Hector and John Fournier. Her husband of 56 years, Norman E. Clissold died in 2002. Loving mother of Andrew Margaret Clissold of Boonsboro, MD; Anne Michael Mattson of Waxhaw, NC; Lynn Pete Zeimis Tracy of Stanwood; Norman J. Clissold of Royal Oak; Mary Charles Dougherty of Mason; Christine Carol Cool Clissold of Byron. Dear sister of, Blanche Thibodeau of Armada and Rena Thomas of Dearborn. Loving grandmother of Jennifer Steve Shadik of Mechanicsville, VA. and Melissa Chad Laber of Columbus, OH. Loving great grandmother of Sydney, Nathan and Carter. She was a loving mother, a dear friend to many and she brightened the life of most everyone she met. She loved reading, and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and playing bridge. Visitation Monday 2-8 p.m. at Wm Sullivan and Son Funeral Home, 705 W. 11 Mile Road 4 blks. East of Woodward, Royal Oak. Scripture service Monday 6:00 p.m. Instate Tuesday 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass 10:00 a.m.at St. Mary?s Church, Royal Oak. Memorial contributions may be made to the Friends of the Royal Oak Public Library, 222 E. Eleven Mile Road, Royal Oak MI 48067; or to the North Woods Nursing Center Scholarship Fund, 2532 W.
